June 30^th, 2001 (12:00am) - Nintendo announced earlier than when the GameCube launches in Japan on September 14th, the system will sell with a measily two first party titles, first of which is Luigi’s Mansion. The second being Wave Race: Blue Storm. Let’s hope that when the system debuts on the American shores there are more. Of course, we can always look forward to the abundance of second and third party titles, which is sure to give gamers a wide selection of choices. Other titles from Nintendo are planned for later that year, but we’ll look for exact launch dates (ahyem** hopefully without delays) come SpaceWorld near the end of August.
