Ninja Gaiden May Release on GCN...
June 30th, 2001 (12:00am) - The Ninja Gaiden franchise... a title that Tecmo announced last year to be developed on the PS2 console was slightly altered with what the titles director said at E32001. Tomonobu Itagaki stated that the titles debut system launch was still not clear. The game which saw life on the NES did very well, and knowing this the developer knows that if they side with Nintendo, they will very likely already have a strong user base, which is a plus. When contacted for comment all that was said that the release would be next year, and Nintendo was still in the running. With Ninja Gaidens Ryu appearing in Dead or Alive 3, which was announced for Xbox, the title is almost definitely being considered for the console. But, with weighing the userbase Tecmo already has with Nintendo fans, a decision as far as we know has still not been made. With all this said, Ive heard that isnt all that easy to port a game from PS2 to other consoles, and if the decision is still unclear, it seems to me that PS2 has already been ruled out, although not announced. More as it breaks. |Eagle| Reported by Talon Ireland on June 30th, 2001 (12:00am)
