GameCube Delayed???
June 8th, 2001 (12:00am) - In this months issue of GameInformer, there is a little bitty article about the outlook of the GameCube regarding its chances of hitting its November 5th launch date. Nintendo President Hiroshi Yamauchi apparently expressed some concern over the matter, stating that in Japan, the system may be delayed a month from July to August. When he spoke about the American release, Yamauchi stated that the GameCube is "basically on track." It seems as though Nintendo may be showing some concern, but they arent too worried about making their launch date in America. However, if the GameCube were delayed in America, it could give the Xbox a major boost in that the Xbox would get a good head start on making its initial impression after launch.
