Gabe will indeed be on ps1 not ps2.
June 15th, 2001 (12:00am) - Syphon Filter 3, will be on the psone, assistant producer Ron Allen said, " We want to make sure that the people who still own the PSone are happy that games are still coming out--good games." Syphon Filter 3 will still have many of the aspects that made the first two great, however this time around the story is from a courtroom, as gabe has been framed and must defend himself, allowing for flashbacks of gameplay.
