Sony is Under Investigation
July 27th, 2001 (12:00am) - Sony is under investigation for monopoly practices in Europe. Sony currently own 93% of the market and their defence is that there is no competition to be had. Other companies and groups are upset about Sony insisting on prime shop space, forcing retailers not to stock Bleem and engaging in other monopoly practices. This is preventing other competitors (ie Bleem) from having a fair opportunity in the marketplace. Anyone who has studied economics will realise once you are in a dominant position you tend to abuse it and Sony have been doing so for awhile now. Updates will follow...
