October 22^nd, 2001 (12:00am) - Joe Pantoliano of The Sopranos has played a traitorous renegade and a mobster, but now he may now be your best source for information in Majestic... assuming that you can trust him.

Electronic Arts is pleased to announce that accomplished film and television actor Joe Pantoliano will make an appearance in Episode 4 of Majestic, the online suspense thriller that uses the Internet, phone and email to invade your life. While Pantoliano has made a career out of playing shadowy characters, from the renegade Cypher in the 1999 blockbuster The Matrix to the mobster Ralph Cifaretto in HBO’s smash series The Sopranos, his role for Majestic turned him into a blackballed investigative journalist.

"He plays the role of Tim Pritchard, a reporter who has made a reputation of digging for the truth, and in doing so, ends up airing stories that compromise the TV station he is working at," said Ralph Guggenheim, executive producer of Majestic.

After being blacklisted by his bosses, Pritchard creates a Web site on the Internet where he invites like-minded individuals to post stories that the conventional media wouldn’t dare publish.

Pantoliano spent two days filming for Majestic as well as a day in the studio to record voice mail messages. In addition, Pantoliano’s handwriting appears on documents created by his character in the game. "He’s a great guy, he’s an excellent actor. He understood very quickly what we were after and loved the concepts that make Majestic so revolutionary," Guggenheim said.
