GCN US Package INFO!!!!
October 29th, 2001 (12:00am) - Well, it seems our good ol’ buddies over at IGN got their hands on the US version of the GameCube, and cleared up some troubling information. Unlike the Japanese unit, the US version of the GCN will contain the componet/video cables, something that is sure to please those unlucky enough who didn’t have the cables left over from the dust-collecting N64. The packaging was very similiar in design, despite the pertruding black handle on top, and everything else was pretty much the same. The Luigi’s Mansion game has a Pikmin video demo on the game disk that was left out of the Japanese version. It’s new footage, even though IGN already has it up on their site. The casing for the games is like that of a DVD case for US, different from the Japanese boxes. It contains the booklet, a tiny snug place to keep the GOD, and a place for a memory card59, similar to the PS2. We’ll give you more information when we find out, and with the launch only 20 days away, make sure you have enough money to get one, and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll have plenty to dish out for both an XBOX and GCN, along with a load of games!
