Two New Colors For GBA
November 2nd, 2001 (12:00am) - You know, it seems like every other day that we reveal another Game Boy Advance color thats coming to Japan, but this times different. Today, we reveal two new colors, but whats more important, these two colors will be official systems to accompany Nintendos four other colors (Arctic, Glacier, Indigo, and Fuchsia), and will be a permanent addition versus the other systems "Limited Edition" status. The two units will be Orange and Black, to be released on December 14th to match the Orange and Black GameCube systems that will hit shelves in Japan in late November. The units will be identical in every way to the existing GBA systems, other than the color of the plastic shell...and will sell for the same amount other units cost in Japan (9800 yen, about 90 bucks).
Though Nintendo of America hasnt announced these two units for release in the US, Orange and Black have a good chance of showing up stateside due to the fact that the Black GameCube system will release here at launch in two weeks...and every official Japanese GBA system released from Nintendo has shipped in the US.
