Some dissapointing news for Metroid fans...
December 19th, 2001 (12:00am) - After the scans from last night you would think nothing could go wrong . After looking for some decent news to report tonight I have stumbled upon something that has been reported before but which has been overlooked completely. Who didnt love the themes in Super Metroid? I dont think there is anyone who doesnt , Koji Kondo is a genuis and you would think he would be composing the score for Metroid Prime correct? Wrong!!! The score for Metroid Prime is being composed by Tommy Tallarico. Tallarico has been a composer in the industry for almost ten years. His many credits include the scores for MDK (PC, MAC), Earthworm Jim (SNES, Genesis), Tony Hawk (PSX, N64) and Munchs Oddysee (Xbox). Currently along with Metroid Prime he is also composing the score for Maximo: Ghosts to Glory (PS2). I will not take anything away from Tallarico , he has tons of talent but I believe I speak for all Metroid fans when I say Koji Kondo should be composing the title. Hopefully Tallarico will keep some old school Metroid tunes in Prime.
