2000 Dreamcasts Being Manufactured in Japan
December 20th, 2001 (12:00am) - The demand for the Dreamcast suddenly rose in Japan soon after lowering the price. In response, CRI, a subsidiary of Sega, will produce 2000 black Dreamcast, which by now are already up for preorder in Japan. The 2000 units will ship to consumers in February or March 2002. There are no plans on manufacturing more than those 2000 units or sending any new units to North America that we know of, if there are, we’ll keep you informed, don’t hold your breath though.
