Universal Music Group CDs Possibly Non-Compatible With Consoles
December 24th, 2001 (12:00am) - Universal Music Group is releasing CDs with copy protection technology that may hinder playback of the the CD on devices such as Macs, some DVD players and game consoles. Of course, this could make ripping music from Universal CDs to your Xboxs hard drive impossible. The first CD to use this copy-protection technology from Universal is Fast & Furious - More Music soundtrack. The CD will have a warning label warning consumers of possible complications, but some consumers have stated in some countries that the label is too small. Universal Music plans to have all of its upcoiming CDs protected by mid-2002. Reported by Michael Robinson on December 24th, 2001 (12:00am)
