Medal of Honor: Allied Assault patch available

January 26th, 2002 (12:00am) - Electronic Arts releases an update for its just-released World War II shooter.

Electronic Arts has released a patch for Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, its recently released first-person shooter. The patch contains several changes and additions, including an in-game server browser for multiplayer games. It also optimizes the multiplayer mode under lag conditions, adds support for dedicated servers to be run from a command line, and lets users have remote control of servers hosting games through a command line. The patch can be downloaded from the game’s official Web site.

Medal of Honor is set in Europe and North Africa during World War II. Players assume the role of Allied soldier Lt. Mike Powell, a member of the 1st Ranger Battalion, on a series of missions behind enemy lines. The game features a complete single-player campaign and several multiplayer modes.
