Lik-Sang Barred from the US

February 19th, 2002 (12:00am) - Peripheral and mod-chip online retailer Lik-Sang has been barred from shipping product to the US by US Customs Officials in an attempt to help stem the tide of products which violate copyright protections, according to a recent article on Wired.com. Unfortunately, this has affected those who have ordered legitimate products from the company. Apparently, customs officials are having a hard time determining which products are illegal and which are legal, so until they can get the whole thing straightened out, they’ve banned all shipments from Hong Kong-based Lik-Sang.
"The shipper is having things stopped by the U.S. Customs Service," (UPS Spokesperson) McMackin said. "I don’t know what is being held, but the probability is that multiple things come in a shipment and some are outlawed and some are not. The customs doesn’t know which is which."
