EGMs Quatermann Speculation...
February 25th, 2002 (12:00am) - Quatermann, EGMs gaming industry superspy had some interesting announcements in the April issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. These arent official statements, just rumors, at least for now, but it isnt at all unusual for Quatermann to be right on the money. He even surface rumors on the three Star Wars prequels way back in the early 90s... Anywho, in his bag this month, Quatermann states that Mario Sunshine will definatly not be the final title for the U.S. version. Also, in a very exciting tidbit for Xbox fans, Quatermann says that the next Toejam & Earl sequel will arrive on Xbox, and there may even be online play... Also, though it is far-fetched, Quatermann has published a rumor of a Capcom vs. Dragon Ball title... Eh? Anywho, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is already in developement, so fighting nuts can look forward to that. The Matrix game is in jeapordy due to internal conflicts. On a funnier, but somewhat disappointing note, Namco had planned to include characters from their other titles such as Paul Phoenix and Heihachi were removed from the upcoming PS2 tennis game, Smash Court, due to real-life tennis stars getting peeved at the idea. And finally, the Q-Mann ended the article with a few tidbits; Namco is working on a port or remix of Ninja Assault coming for PS2, EA is thinking of getting New Corp. (makers of Victorious Boxers) to work on the Knockout Kings franchise. For those who dont know of Victorious Boxers, I hear it was an awesome boxing game, so if EA could get New Corp. to work on Knockout Kings, the series may yet be saved. And finally, the sequel to Legend of Dragoon shoulse be out by the end of this year. Reported by Michael Robinson on February 25th, 2002 (12:00am) [From: Electronic Gaming Monthly]
