March 16th, 2002 (12:00am) - This week’s top seller is Onimusha 2 which is doing extemely , not too much of a surprise since the original was the PS2’s firt million seller.
Nintendo’s "Animal Leader" and "Animal Forest" are still staying strong in the top ten but all GameCube software sales are sinking slowly. Surely in the upcoming week or two when ISS 2 , Doshin The Giant, and Resident Evil go on sale I’m pretty sure we will see some more Nintendo software titles in the top ten.
The Xbox isn’t doing to well over in the land of the rising sun. The highest positioning Xbox title is Dead Or Alive 3 which can be found in the 21 spot. The lack of Xbox software sales is most likely due to fact that Microsoft’s console scratches the game discs or maybe the Japanese really do hate Bill Gates’s machine.
One last interesting tidbit... The console which was thought to be dead, the Sega Dreamcast managed to get a title in the number six spot! Long live the Dreamcast! I miss thee...
