TIMSPLITTERS 2 TO GCN!
March 23rd, 2002 (12:00am) - From IGN, according to a Game Developers Conference press packet, Timesplitters 2 will be released on GCN in the third quarter of this year, right along side its PS2 counterpart.
Developed by Free Radical Design, made up of many members taken from Rareware who worked on Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, hoped to take the experience of those games farther beyond by making an exceptional multiplayer mode for Timesplitters. Despite its obnoxious load times, the multiplayer addition to the first Timesplitters kept me going. The Story mode, however, was somewhat lacking. You ran, grabbed an object, and ran back. That was pretty much it. After all the cries beyond the lack of a stellar single-player mode, Free Radical will be focusing on this aspect of the game as well. The demo on the PS2 version was awesome. Great visuals, and definitely had a story behind it, far superior to the original. I couldnt wait to play more. I know Im happy I get to play this game on my GCN rather than PS2. Arent you? Thought so. Reported by Talon Ireland on March 23rd, 2002 (12:00am) [From: IGN]
