March 23^rd, 2002 (12:00am) - Browsing through the usual message boards, I came across a site called Colored Consoles.

Basically, they will give your console a paint-job. There are also LED-light and Region switch options. It seems cool enough, but there are some snags; Unfortunatly, those with a DC and PS1 looking to have them modified are out of luck, and at prices ranging into the $30s and $40s, plus the fact that you’ll have to send in your precious console and be without it for weeks, you may just want to wait for someone to make color casings for your console.

But if you are nutso about console customization, and don’t know how to do this sort of thing yourself, nor know those who can, Color Consoles’ services could be solid things to look into.
