Yasumi Matsuno, the director behind Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story recently let slip some details on Final Fantasy Tactics for the GBA and Final Fantasy XII. Firstly Final Fantasy Tactics development on the GameBoy Advance is currently around 30% complete, with a Winter release in Japan on the cards. The game is neither a remake of the PSOne original or a fully-blown sequel, however Matsuno did say that they were currently working on a new quicksave feature…

He went onto say that development on Final Fantasy XII is beginning, as work comes to a conclusion on Final Fantasy XI. The twelfth instalment should be released some time in 2003.
