Another Shocker : Virtua Fighter to the Nintendo GameCube...
March 30th, 2002 (12:00am) - At Segas Game Jam, creator of the Virtua Fighter series Yu Suzuki revealed the franchise will appear on Nintendos console. No, this Virtua Fighter title is not Virtua Fighter Kids but a Virtua Fighter RPG.
This new Virtua Fighter title will mark the 10 year anniversary of the series and oddly it is not a fighter. Yu Suzuki himself described the game as an action-adventure(he alsp threw in the letters RPG every so often)which would be heavily based on its story aspect, he also reffered to the game as "Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary Special Project." (hopefully they will shorten the title by the time the game is released...) Not to many other details are known about the title probably due to its early stage in development. But what is known is that all Virtua Fighter characters will be included, the A button will be used for kicking, and that the game will be using a power gauge. My thoughts: Sounds alot like Shen Mue to me... I dont know whether to be excited or depressed by the fact that the GameCube is getting a Shen Mue clone instead of VF4...
