-Press-
SAN JOSE, California (February 21, 2002) - Metro3D, Inc., the multi-
platform video game developer and publisher today announced it has
partnered with David Siller, the renowned creator of the original ’90s
blockbuster hit, Aero the Acrobat(TM). The two are teaming together
along with developer Atomic Planet to re-introduce the classic Aero the
Acrobat franchise character to a whole new generation of fans with its
highly anticipated debut in June 2002 and Aero the Acrobat 2(TM) due
November 2002, exclusively for Nintendo(R) Game Boy(R) Advance.

Siller is the award-winning creator, producer, and designer of some of
the industry’s most popular video game character franchises. Among his
many noteworthy successes includes: Aero the Acrobat, the flagship title
originally published by Sunsoft of America; Crash Bandicoot(TM) for Sony
Computer Entertainment America and Universal Interactive Studios; Maximo:
Ghosts To Glory for Capcom Entertainment; Sunsoft’s Looney Tunes(TM)
properties for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System(R), Nintendo
Entertainment System(R) and Game Boy(R); and many more. Siller now
serves as the director of research and development at Capcom Digital
Studios.

"Metro3D is honored to be working with David Siller, truly one of the
industry’s great icons whose reputation and track record creating
franchise successes for a variety of platforms is legendary among the
video game developer community and enthusiasts around the globe," said
Joseph Morici, senior vice president of sales and marketing,
Metro3D. "The debut of Aero the Acrobat for Nintendo Game Boy Advance is
thrilling and we look forward to its growing popularity among a new wave
of next-generation gamers. The timeless action hero’s classic charm and
daredevil antics will attract gamers of all ages."

Siller created the original Aero the Acrobat game in 1990, which was
later launched by Sunsoft of America in 1993 for the Super Nintendo
Entertainment System and Nintendo Entertainment System. Aero the
Acrobat’s rapid rise to fame earned it the "Best New Character of the
Year" by Electronic Gaming Monthly, and critical acclaim throughout the
gaming community as one of the hot new video game properties of the ’90s.

"My relationship with Metro3D is significant because of their strength as
an exciting and aggressive new publisher headed up by some of the most
successful veterans of the industry," said David Siller.
"Metro3D offers the kind of horsepower that allows us to place a proven
cartoon character like Aero back into the limelight and have an
opportunity to shine again within the gaming community."
