Championship Manager: Season 01/02 For X-Box
April 9th, 2002 (12:00am) - Sports Interactive and Eidos Interactive are proud to confirm that Championship Manager: Season 01/02 will be making its console debut on XboxT in April.
After the incredible success of the title on PC - Championship Manager: Season 01/02 sold an astonishing 103,000 plus units during the first weekend of sales in October last year - all at Sports Interactive and Eidos are confident that the title will repeat its earlier success. And retailers seem to share their view. Jonathan Rosenblatt, Marketing Manager at Eidos observed, "We have had a great response from retail, with orders so far beyond our initial expectations. When you consider that Champ Man is actually more of a simulation than a graphics based game, were especially pleased to be considered a must-have title." Miles Jacobson, Managing Director of Sports Interactive said, "The team at SI has been waiting years for a console with a hard drive that could handle Championship Manager, so were very pleased to see Championship Manager: Season 01/02 on Xbox. Were hoping that this launch will make Champ Man available and affordable to a whole new consumer base. Who knows? Some customers may even buy an Xbox specifically to play Champ Man: its much more affordable than buying a PC." Championship Manager: Season 01/02 is virtually unchanged for its console debut. All 26 leagues from around the world are included, as are the detailed profiles and histories of over 100,000 players, managers and coaches. Reported by Dan Blomberg on April 9th, 2002 (12:00am)
