Bandai developing Toon Shaded wrestling game for the Nintendo GameCube...

April 16th, 2002 (12:00am) - Just recently Japanese developer Bandai has confirmed that the company is in development with a new GameCube wrestling game, New Heroes Vs Legendary Heroes. The title is scheduled to be released this summer in Japan.

New Heroes Vs Legendary Heroes is based on the comic series Kinniku Man II. According to Bandai the game will utilize the Toon Shading techinque for the games graphical style and will feature many characters that were featured in the comic book series. More than 50 authentic wrestling moves will be included in the final version as well as a create-a-player mode.

A few people might remember Kinniku Man characters from a mid-‘80s line of tiny pink action figures called M.U.S.C.L.E... I sure as hell don’t!

Here are some screenshots of the game courtesy of XenGamers.com
. Also take note that these screenshots are from an extremely ealry build of the game...

Is it just me or does this game look extremely odd? And I do not mean that in a good way...
