Sega and Nike Settle Lawsuit

April 16th, 2002 (12:00am) - Back in February, the Nike corperation sued Sega for their NBA2k2 ad campaign, claiming it to be all too similar to Nike’s own "Frozen Moment" ad campaign.

Nike and Sega have settled the suit, resulting in Sega having to donate $50,000 in Nike’s name Boys & Girls Clubs of both Portland and Memphis, and Sega and the Leagas Delaney advertising agency were to issue an official statement of apology to Nike.

All things considered, Sega got off relatively easy.
