Devil May Cry director Hideki Kamiya developing an original title for the Nintendo GameCube...
April 22nd, 2002 (12:00am) - Nintendo Dream sat down with RE creator and Capcoms R&D4 General Manager Shinji Mikami to discuss his latest brewings at Capcom.
Mr.Mikami confirmed that he is presently supervising the development of the upcoming GameCube titles Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil 4. He also told Nintendo Dream that the director of Devil May Cry Hideki Kamiya has currently stepped away from the development of Devil May Cry 2 for the PS2 to develop an original title for the Nintendo GameCube. Mikami also said that Hiroyoshi Kato, the director behind Resident Evil: Code Veronica is developing the second original R&D4 GameCube title scheduled for release in early Spring 2003. My thoughts: Capcom is showing the GameCube some serious love and you can tell since Capcom hasnt shown this much devotion to a single console since Segas Dreamcast...
