"Star Wars Galaxies" Coming to Xbox and PS2
May 20th, 2002 (12:00am) - The first title in LucasArts’ upcoming online Star Wars game series, "Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided", is slated to hit Xbox and PS2, utilizing both consoles’ online components. Being developed by Sony Online Entertainment, the same group who published the PC hit online title "EverQuest", they are looking to enlist thousands of gamers into a massive adventure once again "An Empire Divided". The adventure will span across several planets and take place during the classic Star Wars timeframe, and will feature everything people have come to expect from a MMORPG; combat, exploration, social interaction, specialized missions, and quests. "An Empire Divided" will arrive on shelves for Windows PCs later this year, but the console versions have not been given a release date as of yet.
