Nintendo’s E3 Press Conference With Twice The Zelda glory.

May 22nd, 2002 (12:00am) - Today at 10:30 started the greatest day of my life. Nintendo’s Press Conference was packed with hundreds of people and everyone was in a very good mood to see what the industry’s biggest name had to say. And trust me everyone way all eyes & ears for Nintendo.

The first speaker for the day was Nintendo of America’s Vice President Peter MacDougal. Mr. MacDougal went right to buissness talking about the awsome line-up of GameCube software for 2002 including Mario, Samus, Link & Fox calling the "Game Giants". He also spoke his words on the demand of more mature games on Nintendo’s GameCube. Saying mature games like RE, RE0, Eternal Darkness & Metroid Prime will be followed up with more of it’s kind.

Soon he was joined by NCL vice President Satoru Iwata as he mentioned little about Nintendo’s online plans much already known to the Public. The two also showed demos of Super Mario Sunshine, The Legend of Zelda, Metroid Prime, Starfox Adventures & others. They also showed some stuff with the NGC/GBA link cable. There’s even a Camera called the Game Eye to add the likeness of yourself to GameCube games.

After all that it was time for the main event. It was time for Master & Lord of all video gaming to speak Mr. . Shigeru Miyamoto himself. The lights went low and the red curtain was raised and he was know were to be found. Then out of the blue came Miyamoto through the crowd WWE’s Edge style with a WaveBird in hand playing Super Mario Sunshine on the big screen center stage. The crowd went wild with cheers. I myself had tears in my eyes over his greatness.

As Mr. Miyamoto showed us all him playing Super Mario & Legend of Zelda the crowd was nothing but ooooooos & aahhhhs. After the show he told us Zelda GameCube was not the only Zelda he had with him. He pulled out a GBA cart of Zelda & cheers rang out again. As he called up 3 friends from Namco, Sega’s Amusement Vision, and Capcom to play a four player mode on the GBA vesion of Zelda. As masters of avoiding questions. When the Nintendo crew sat down for a Q&A session we was all left with none really ansewed(Full Q&A will be posted later).

Phew Nintendo’s energy is great. And I enjoyed every second of the conference. Tommorow all of the games will be playable and i’ll report on that but tonight i’ll just play with my Press Kit.
