IN-FUSIO ANNOUNCES ’SURVIVOR’: JAVA™-BASED MOBILE GAME FOR UNIVERSAL’S i-MODE PORTAL

May 23rd, 2002 (12:00am) - May 23rd, 2002 – IN-FUSIO, a leading mobile games service provider, today announced the launch of ’Survivor’, an i-appli Java™-based colour mobile game based on Jurassic Park III™.

Survivor will be available for download to all of NTT DoCoMo’s 13.2 million customers who have i-appli compatible phones via Universal’s i-mode portal. Additionally, subscribers to China Mobile’s network who own either a Philips Xenium or Fisio 620 handset will also be able to download the game, and others, from the IN-FUSIO catalogue.

The multi-level colour adventure game demonstrates IN-FUSIO’s flexibility and expertise across Java™-based platforms and specifically the unique integration with i-mode and its bespoke i-appli Java™ compatible enhanced service.

IN-FUSIO has evolved to become the mobile operator’s game service provider of choice for delivering high quality, fun and ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) generating mobile entertainment, thanks to its Gamezilla delivery platform and ExEn® download game engine. Games for IN-FUSIO’s complete mobile gaming solution are written in Java? and can operate across all existing and future network infrastructures (GSM, GPRS, UMTS).

Development of the game
Survivor was developed jointly by IN-FUSIO’s Shanghai game studio and Dwango, a Japanese game developer. The colour game requires players to battle against Velociraptors, Pteranodons and Spinosaurus across multiple levels - the more that are shot the more points you get. Subscribers pay a monthly fee of approximately 2.4 Euros per month and a download fee based on packets transferred.
