Famitsu hardware sales 5/5 -5/12 (Japan)
May 23rd, 2002 (12:00am) - PS2 sales continue to stay strong for the week of May 5 to the 12th with 61,979 units sold. The runner-up title goes to the GameBoy Advance with 35,299 units sold. In third place is Nintendo’s purple (or black or orange) GameCube with 10,641 units sold which is a surprisingly good number despite the fact that no big titles other than Resident Evil have been released for the console. The Xbox ... well I guess it’s fair to say that the Xbox is a flop in the land of the rising sun, it barely outsold the GameBoy Color by 3 units.
