Japanese Console Sales for the week of May 20-26
May 30th, 2002 (12:00am) - In this weeks sales, most likely because of the recent price-drop, Microsoft has sold almost three times as many Xbox units than Nintendo has sold GC units for the week of May 20th-26th, but it is doubtful that the huge lead of 370,200 that the GC has over the Xbox for units sold in 2002 will be extinguished anytime soon, if ever. PS2 continues its reign of the charts with 65,200 units sold, and has only been surpased for 2002 sales so far by the GBA. Here is the chart (console/week of 5/20-5/26 sales/2002 sales): *PlayStation2/65.200/1.705.300 *Game Boy Advance/30.900/1.187.700 *Xbox/7.400/193.000 *PSone/4.800/114.800 *Gamecube/2.500/563.200 *Game Boy Color/1.200/50.400 *WonderSwan Color/1.100/83.600 Reported by Michael Robinson on May 30th, 2002 (12:00am) [From: GameFront]
