Microsoft announces Xbox Live plans in Japan
 June 11th, 2002 (12:00am) - The Japanese launch of Xbox Live will be very similar to the US one, bit with one noticable difference. They will pay about 6,800 yen ($55) for a starter kit, which will include the Xbox Voice Communicator, a one-year subscription to Xbox Live, and Phantasy Star Online.
And we in the US are stuck with ReVolt packed-in? Blech. Pressing on, Microsoft confirmed 47 titles for the Xbox Live service from 39 third-parties for Xbox Live in Japan, which includes Sega GT 2002 Online (Wow Ent.), Shin Megami Tensei: Nine (Atlus), Spike Out X-treme (Amusement Vision), and Gaia Blade Online and Thousand Land (From Software).
