Media Creates Japanese Hardware sales (June 3rd-6th)
June 12th, 2002 (12:00am) - With all the price drops in affect it seems that both the Xbox and GameCube have taken a jump forward from their usual console sales. For some odd reason the PS2 has actually dropped from its normal amount of sales but that might be because maybe everyone in Japan finally owns a PS2 for every bedroom in their home. Microsofts Xbox for the two previous weeks was ahead of Nintendo by a few houndred units but since the GCNs price drop took affect on the 3rd this week has proven to be quite beneficial for Nintendo. Heres the chart: 1.Sony PlayStation 2 - 49,800 2.Nintendo Game Boy Advance - 29,500 3.Nintendo GameCube - 18,700 4.Sony Playstation - 4,500 5.Microsoft Xbox - 3,800 6.BANDAI One dozen one color - 2,000 7.Nintendo Game Boy Color - 1,500 8.Sega Dreamcast - 160 9.Nintendo N64 - 100 10.BANDAI One dozen one - 80 11.Nintendo Game Boy - 70 12.S C E Pocket station - 9 Reported by Elias Dounis on June 12th, 2002 (12:00am)
