Spaceworld 2002: Cancelled
June 21st, 2002 (12:00am) - Nintendo has always shied away from the Tokyo Game Shows in Japan, preferring to hold its own Nintendo-centric Spaceworld show every August. Thats all changing this year, though, as Nintendo announces the cancellation of the Spaceworld show in favor of a series of smaller events throughout the country, instead of one large show in a central location. Theres no word on dates or sites for these smaller events, but with the loss of the Spring TGS and now no Spaceworld, the end might be in sight for large Japanese gaming trade shows.
