Sega Reveals Software Strategy Details
June 27th, 2002 (12:00am) - Heres the rundown: This year, Sega plans to release 2 games for PlayStation 2, 15 for Xbox, 20 for GameCube, and 12 for Game Boy Advance, and plans for the PC have yet to be announced, and nothing new for DC from Sega themselves, though third-party support is still slightly ongoing in Japan. On the PSO front, they explained that the fact that there is no fee-collecting system is why the PS2 will not see a version of PSO. One wonders why Sega feels the need to continuously charge users, and why the GC gets a version of PSO, even though Nintendo has no fee collection system set up either. And in one last interesting tidbit, Sega claimed that North America was their most important market. Credit goes to Gamers.com for the story.
