Broadband Accounting for 50% of Net Access by 2004
June 29th, 2002 (12:00am) - Three out of ten internet connections (thats 30%, 20% through cable access, 10% through DSL) are made through broadband connections already, and, according to Solomon-Wolff Associates, broadband will make up 50% of net access by 2004. Thats a huge leap, considering that only three years ago, broadband connections only made up 6% of net access. This has become big news for the console market, as console developers (namely Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony) are striving to get consoles into the online gaming market.
