EA Big brings SHOX to the Nintendo GameCube...
July 12th, 2002 (12:00am) - Electronic Arts has revealed today that a GameCube version of the once thought to be PS2 exclusive arcade racer , Shox , is in development.
Earlier today, the guys at Computer and Videogames.com were treated to a demonstration of the PS2 version by the games producer, Neil McEwan. When asked whether Shox will be appearing on other formats, McEwan said: "Weve got a GameCube version about two weeks behind this one and it looks really nice. This game translated really well onto that platform." Shox is a an arcade-style racer very much similar to SEGAs Sega Rally series. Players are put behind the wheel of one of the twenty-four liscened cars and thrusted into an intense competition that requires total concentration and supreme skill in order to earn enough points to progress and purchase increasingly powerful cars. The PS2 version of Shox is already looking great , expect the GCN version to just as good if not better. No Xbox version of Shox has been announced as of yet.
