TGS 2002: Phantasy Star Online Card still lives...
 September 20th, 2002 (12:00am) - Sonic Team has confirmed that there next game to be released on the Nintendo GameCube will indeed be PSO Card Battle. Inspired by the Phantasy Star Universe , Card Battle was first announced at E3 2002 in May. This newest GameCube online title is set to be release sometime in 2003 for Japan.
No details if whether or not Sonic Team plans a US release. Also this news should be somewhat comforting to Sonic Team fans who are GameCube owners since the once exclusive PSO Episodes I & II will be appearing on the Xbox.
