Rare to continue developing for Nintendos handheld...
September 25th, 2002 (12:00am) - Despite canning all development projects on the GameCube and moving them to Microsofts machine, Rare will still be devoloping games for Nintendos handheld. Steve Kent the now infamous MSNBC.com writer interviewed Joel Hochberg to reveal this somewhat shocking news. Heres an excerpt from the interview: Interestingly, though Rare is now owned by Microsoft, it will still have some dealings with Nintendo. “We still plan to work on games for Game Boy Advance in the future,” said Hochberg. Rare has developed Game Boy titles in the past, and Microsoft does not currently manufacture a rival handheld system. Click here to read the entire article How is possible you say? I am assuming that these games will be published by THQ in the same fashion Mircosoft will release its GameBoy advance games (such as Oddworld). Rare will develop THQ will publish... Am I sure this is true? Hell No but its very likely... Dont expect any Donkey Kong related games from Rare though, those days are over... My thoughts: Meh, me no likes the GBA mucho...
