Xbox 2 to Come Before PS3
 October 5th, 2002 (12:00am) - Spong reports that Microsoft intends to be first out of the gate with the next generation of video game hardware.
Sony’s been burbling about PS3 for some time now, with vague promises of unimaginably complex technology -- Networked processors working in tandem? IBM supercomputer technology? Sure thing! MS didn’t make any comments on what’ll be under the hood of the Xbox 3, but J Allard, their number one hardware spokesman, offered, "...we’ll promise...that they won’t get a head start next time. And I’ll just leave it at that." According to reports, the PS3 is set to debut in 2005, which would be the 5 year anniversary of the release of PS2.
