Microsoft Phasing Out Standard Xbox Controller
October 12th, 2002 (12:00am) - Starting with the upcoming Xbox Sega Bundle, Microsoft will be phasing out the standard Xbox controller, and packaging the Xbox Controller S with Xbox units. Production of the Xbox Controller XXL (as its been dubbed) has already stopped.
From before the Xbox was even released to this very day, the standard pad has been critisized for being too large. The Controller S, though, has recieved praise across the board; not too big, not at all too small, and prefered over the standard pad by most, even outselling the standard controller in stores. One just wonders why it took so long for Microsoft to correct this problem. Reported by Michael Robinson on October 12th, 2002 (12:00am) [From: GamePro]
