Link-up between Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion revealed! Unlock original NES Metroid!
October 25th, 2002 (12:00am) - Nintendo of America’s official website has revealed the once hidden GCN/GBA link-up feature in Metroid Prime. After completing Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the original NES version of Metroid in Metroid Prime. Of course in order to unlock the game you must have the GCN/GBA connector. The original Metroid’s game data will even be saved to the GameCube’s memory card meaning Nintendo must have added a save feature to the once password only save system (Hooray!) . Wait! That’s not all; after completing Metroid Prime and connecting the two games, you’ll be able to play through game through wearing Samus’ Fusion Suit from Metroid Fusion. My thoughts: The classic Metroid for the NES is one of the greatest games ever made; November 18th will be one the greatest days in a Metroid fan’s life. But one little detail has me confused. Nintendo said that after beating Metroid Prime you’ll be able to play the game wearing Samus’ Fusion Suit from Metroid Fusion but what game do they mean, Metroid Prime or the original NES Metroid?
