Nascar: Dirt to Daytona ships for the PS2 and Nintendo GameCube...

November 12th, 2002 (12:00am) - Infogrames, today announced it has shipped NASCAR: Dirt to DAYTONA for PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube. Dirt to DAYTONA is the first game of its kind, giving fans a true NASCAR racing series experience by participating in and progressing through the ranks of the NASCAR Weekly Racing series presented by Dodge, NASCAR Featherlite Modified series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck series and the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, all in one game.

NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona is the first game to provide race fans the opportunity to go from dirt track to NASCAR Winston Cup and finally the Championship, all in one incredible Career Mode. Players climb through the ranks, beginning at the dirt tracks in a late-model stockcar competing for prize-money, sponsorship and recognition among the local stars. Take on the NASCAR Winston Cup series in pursuit of the prestigious NASCAR Winston Cup Championship.

NASCAR: Dirt to DAYTONA is packed with new adrenaline-pumping features, including over 20 minutes of video with top NASCAR drivers such as Rusty Wallace, Ryan Newman, Steve Park, Mike Skinner, Dave Blaney and Ken Schrader. Get into the races with Beat the Heat Challenge, Race the Pro, Season, Single Race, and Head-to-Head modes and 31 amazingly detailed racetracks. A new damage model, which accurately represents everything from a tire rub to a 20-car pileup and car upgrades with over 100 different parts, and progress monitoring with extensive career statistics will help keep you at the top of your game.
