Capcom Unleashed On The GAMECUBE!!!
November 14th, 2002 (12:00am) - Capcom recently held a press-conference where the Japanese giant revealed 5 new games, 1 of which we all knew about, and another 4 we didnt, all of which are exclusive to the GameCube. These titles are from Capcoms biggest names at Production Studio 4, a Capcom studio that now seems to be exclusive to the GameCube.
Resident Evil 4

The 4th official entry into the Resident Evil franchise, RE4 follows Leon Kennedy (from RE2) in his quest to destroy the very root of the Umbrella Corperation. In full 3D (no prerendered backgrounds) and it looks just as good if not better than RE0. RE4 is said to change everything you know about the series, and hopefully one of those things is the control. RE4 is ready send shivers up your spine in 2003. Project Number 03 (P.N.03)
RE and DMC creator Shinji Mikamis new project, PN03 is the codename for a new action game featuring a sleek female protagonist, and is said to be a cross between Devil May Cry and Tomb Raider. Visually stunning, PN03 revolves around Vanessa Z Schneider, a hired mercenary who destroys robots for various employers. She wields a very destructive laser gun. Spring 2003 in Japan is the target date for this baby. Killer 7
Killer 7 is a cell-shaded John Woo film, if it could be summed up so easily. Focusing on the conflict between two characters, Harmon Smith (an assassin with 7 split personalities) and Kun Lan (an evil god-like villain who can topple governments) Killer 7 promises a dark, action-packed tale. Winter 2003. Dead Phoenix
A mythical world filled with monsters and danger is what awaits you in Dead Phoenix. Taking some elements from Segas Panzer Dragoon series, this new title promises youll be able to "freely fly like a bird in a world of epic proportions." The game primarily focuses on a warrior as the main character, and inside an ancient floating city. Interestingly enough, the game world changes and evolves over time. But dont expect this to be the next Animal Crossing; "Ive just been fishing, you know. Seeing some ancient floating cities..." Summer 2003 will be the launch of Dead Phoenix Viewtiful Joe
A prime cantidate for NOT showing up in North America, Viewtifull Joe is an Anime-inspired, cell-shaded, side-scroller beat-em up...say that 5 times fast. Its in the same vein as Ghouls n Ghosts or Maximo, in that the main character is very animated, and has dozens of stylistic attack moves. The main character himself, looking like a cross between Captain Falcon and Capcoms own Captain Commando, certainly looks strange, but fun nonetheless. Another spring 2003 title. You can check out Capcoms awesome flash webpage dedicated to these titles by clicking here Other games also mentioned were Megaman EXE Transmission, Glass Rose, & Auto Modellista 2. As always GamersMark will keep you posted. My Thoughts Oh boy being a GameCube owner just got 5 times better! ~ditto~
