The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker delayed; Ura Zelda/Ocarina of Time Preorder deal confirmed for February…

December 4th, 2002 (12:00am) - The highly anticipated GameCube title, the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has been pushed back a month from its original release in February. The game will now be released on March 24th 2003. To tide us over, Nintendo of America will distribute the unreleased Ura Zelda and re-release the Nintendo 64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the GameCube with a special preorder deal. On February 16th the official preorders for the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will begin, and when you preorder your own copy of the title you will be rewarded with those two games on a GameCube disc. The disc will also feature trailers to upcoming GameCube games.

Gamersmark.com posted a news report about this a week ago saying that these two games would be sold separately and not through the preorder deal like in Japan. Well, we were wrong but make sure you’re first on line February 16th because these babies are only available in limited amounts. The trailers that the disc will feature will most likely be different games than the disc released in Japan since many of those games like Kinniku Man 2nd Generation will not be released in the US. I would expect to some trailers to be on it that are on the Japanese disc such as Resident Evil 4, F-Zero, Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, Dead Phoenix, and P. N. 03.
