Majesco launches Black and Brusied offical website.

December 15th, 2002 (12:00am) - Offering gamers an online introduction to the game regarded by many as "the next generation Super Punch Out®," Majesco today announced the launch of www.BlackandBruised.com, the official web site of their over-the-top boxing title, Black & Bruised.

In addition to accessing select game content and downloads, fans of Black & Bruised can register to receive a free PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system demo disc, four exclusive bonus combos for the game’s 14 available boxers, plus an additional 24 combos for each of the four hidden boxers.

"We focused on making www.BlackandBruised.com look and feel like the game in order to introduce the game’s 19 not-so-typical boxers and unique game play features," said Ken Gold, Vice President of Marketing for Majesco. "We’re offering a free demo for registering because its combination of Boxer’ s Life mode, strategic power-ups and combos make this much more than just a boxing game - and we want consumers to experience that first hand."

Boxer’s Life is one of the more unique elements of Black & Bruised. Players are introduced to the 19 colorful characters through a series of seven in-game movies that reveal each fighter’s storyline and set-up the strategic constraints for the following match. www.BlackandBruised.com incorporates this unique mode by featuring the first Boxer’s Life movie for select characters, with additional movies added regularly. Players can also access the latest game and contest news, screen shots, movies, boxer profiles and game play tips.

Black & Bruised is an over-the-top, arcade-style boxing game that combines wacky cartoon humor with thumb-twitching boxing action. Cel-shaded graphics and off-the-wall special effects create an experience similar to a fast-paced cartoon episode. Detailed facial animations convey a boxer’s mood and reactions, while real-time damage indicates injuries over the course of a fight.

Developed by Digital Fiction for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube(tm), Black & Bruised will ship to stores in February 2003. Additional information on Majesco’s entire line-up of exciting products can be found online at http://www.majescogames.com
