Website for the GameCube’s “alternative rpg” Giftpia launches…

December 28th, 2002 (12:00am) - Skip Limited has launched its official website for their upcoming GameCube game Giftpia. This Q funded developer has created a game that they have labeled an “alternative RPG”, something that is similar to games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon.

What is known about the title is that the name itself, Giftpia, was contrived by putting the words Gift and Utopia together. The game itself takes place on an island and your goal is to build a thriving society. The main characters in the game (well the ones that we know of) are a boy, a girl, the village leader, and a robot. As the game progress your characters age, and the children for instance will become adults over time.

Giftpia is being published by Nintendo and is scheduled for an April 2003 release in Japan.
