Console versions of Soul Calibur 2 unveiled, each version to feature exclusive characters...

January 15th, 2003 (12:00am) - After months of speculation on whether it was true or not, Namco has finally confirmed the inclusion of Link, from Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda fame, for the GameCube version of Soul Calibur 2. Each version of Soul Calibur 2 will feature an exclusive character, the GameCube has Link, the Playstation 2 has Heihachi from Tekken, and the Xbox has Todd McFarlane’s Spawn. Spawn isn’t the only Todd McFarlane creation in Soul Calibur 2 either; SC 2 introduces Necrid, a new addition to the Soul Calibur series designed by Todd McFarlane Productions specifically for SC 2. Necrid will appear in all versions of the game.

Soul Calibur 2 is scheduled for release in Japan the 27th of March, and is expected to make it to the U.S this August.
