Sega reveals first screens of Sonic Adventure DX!
January 17th, 2003 (12:00am) - Sega has released the first batch of screens of Sonic Adventure DX for the Nintendo GameCube. Those looking for a new Sonic game won’t find anything too interesting about this title, since this is just a port of the Dreamcast launch game from 3 YEARS AGO! Sonic Adventure DX for the GameCube supposedly utilizes the GameCube hardware, but the only difference I’ve seen from the Dreamcast version is that the characters in DX look as if they feature nicer textures.
Here are the screens:

My Thoughts:Sega has the most piss poor 3rd party strategy in the history of gaming. Thousands of gamers have played this game when it was released 3 years ago on the Dreamcast, and hell it’s not even that good of a game. Sega’s logic confuses me; why not just make an original game for the GCN instead of just porting crap that failed on the Dreamcast. But Noooo, the Xbox gets all the cool original Sega games too bad they end up selling like crap, whereas games like Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and the Monkey Ball titles end up being very successful on the GameCube. Even though I say these bad things, I will still buy Sonic Adventure DX. Personally, I liked the game, but many others think it’s pure horse crap. For this Special Edition to make a nice impression among GameCube owners it needs more than just a visual improvement, which is barely there anyways, but a serious tweaking to how the game plays. But, who knows exactly what Sonic Team is up to?
