Final Fantasy Tactics System Options

January 19th, 2003 (12:00am) - The developers over at Square are going all out for their big Game Boy Advance game coming out this February in Japan. Because of all the new and different platforms to play GBA titles on, Square will offer an adjustable setting in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance to give the best picture no matter the platform.

The options menu will feature a new color checking option, with three different settings: Liquid Crystal A, Liquid Crystal B, and Television. Liquid Crystal A is for original Game Boy Advance systems and the Game Boy Advance SP system with the front light turned off. Liquid Crystal B is for users of the front-lit Game Boy Advance SP system, and Television is the option for gamers who opt to play FFTA on the GameCube’s Game Boy Player peripheral.

Because there’s currently not a way to detect which system the game’s being played on, users must choose their setting in the options menu; the game doesn’t auto-select for them.
