Capcom announces Ghosts n’ Goblins Online!
January 29th, 2003 (12:00am) - A new Ghosts n’ Goblins game is finally making its way to consoles as well as the PC! Capcom and Game Factory have announced that Makimura Online (Ghosts n’ Goblins Online) will be released in Japan in Spring 2004 and to the shock of many it will a cross platform MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Created with the Terazona and Renderware 3D engine, Makimura Online will feature 11 playable characters and 6 job classes for you to choose from, which include Knight, Archer, Vampire, Fighter, Beast-man, and Dragon-man. Another surprise is that Makimura Online will debut on the PC platform first with appearances on the other major platforms soon after. Artwork courtesy of The Magic Box:

My Thoughts:I’m shocked! Super Ghouls n’ Ghosts is one of my favorite Super Nintendo games and I ecstatic to hear that a sequel is finally coming after these many years. Maximo was great but the lack of the entire Ghouls n’ Ghosts theme was absent, and that kind of disappointed me. Hopefully, it will appear on all consoles…
