Sega officially announces Sega Rally for the GBA…

February 8th, 2003 (12:00am) - Sega Rally is coming to the Game Boy Advance featuring an all-new four player mode, and the intense pulse pounding experience Sega Rally was known for, years ago, in the arcades. Featuring six all-new courses, 8 fully-licensed cars, from manufactures such as Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Lancia, Peugeot, and Mitsubishi, Sega Rally for the GBA is shaping up to be the definitive racer for Nintendo’s handheld monster. But what’s a game these days without some cool extras? In the GBA version of Sega Rally, performing well earns you points, these points allow you to purchase mini-games, new courses, unlock cars, and open a Sega Rally History section and an Art Gallery.

"Fasten your seatbelts and take your Dramamine because ’SEGA RALLY’ is one helluva ride through some thrilling rocky roads - from rain soaked jungles to labyrinthine mountain trails," said Mike Fischer, vice president, SEGA of America, Inc. "Now gamers can race around the world at top speeds, even while stuck in the subway on the way to work with ’SEGA RALLY.’”
